Coaching is a two-way conversation and a partnership. In our sessions, we work together with curiosity, openness and kindness so that you can maximise your personal and professional potential.

You’re in the driving seat and my role as your coach is to listen, ask questions and help you to dig deeper to get to the heart of what matters.

As we work together, I will help you to see the bigger picture and to develop your psychological flexibility so that you can create meaningful change in your life.

Being able to talk things through, in a safe space with an impartial listener, can help to build confidence, allow ideas to form or simply provide a place to explore whatever is on your mind. These things aren’t always easy to do with friends, colleagues or family but coaching sessions can provide a supportive and nurturing space to work things through so that you can achieve your goals.

I use a variety of coaching models and tools to help my clients to achieve their goals including a branch of behaviour analysis called ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Training).

ACT teaches mindfulness and acceptance skills along with a focus on developing values-based actions to help people make meaningful changes in their lives and build psychological flexibility. ACT is an evidence-based therapy model that has been adapted for use in coaching. You can read more about ACT below.

What happens during a coaching session?

In our coaching sessions, we will explore where you are now and what you would like to achieve in the future.

Depending on what you are experiencing, we may choose to talk about patterns of behaviour that are making it difficult for you to move forwards or it could be that you’re ready to create a plan of action to help you to achieve a specific goal. This is your journey and you will be empowered to take ownership of your challenges and your actions.

I encourage you to make notes of any observations that you may have during your coaching time and at the end of a session, you may choose to commit to an action or exercise to work on in between sessions.

In subsequent sessions, we check in on the progress of any goals that have been set and continue to work on making changes and finding the solutions that work best for you.

Your commitment

Successful coaching relies on commitment. We will explore this together to ensure that you are ready to make the changes you seek and that your goals are manageable, realistic and meaningful.

Coaching or counselling?

During the course of our sessions, we may find that there are issues from your past that are causing you significant distress or affecting your ability to move forwards. In those circumstances, I would recommend you spend time with a counsellor before resuming coaching.

Please do contact me if you feel this may be the case and we can discuss the best course of action for you.

Coaching sessions last around 60 minutes and take place via Zoom or by telephone. I also offer face to face coaching in Norwich on Tuesday afternoons.


I ask all new clients to sign up for an exploratory session before committing to coaching. The cost of this 30 minute session is £25.

Thereafter, each 60 minute coaching session costs £50 and includes any worksheets, recordings or other information you may be sent after our time together.

I usually suggest that clients commit to a minimum of three coaching sessions so that they can make the most of the coaching process. Depending on your situation, some clients prefer to have weekly sessions, while others have sessions on a fortnightly or monthly basis. We can discuss this when we meet.

If cost is a barrier to you accessing coaching, a concessionary rate is available. Please let me know if this is the case.
